We're working to build an environmental community
with the help of volunteers like you and our
regional Sierra Club office in Charlotte, which
opened in 2004. Charlotte is one of the National
Sierra Club's Building Environmental Communities
field sites and we have a number of local projects
underway, especially in the area of clean energy.

The Sierra Club's North Carolina Chapter was formed
in 1979. It currently has 19,000 members and 13
local groups across the state.
Staff
Chatham Olive has joined Sierra Club staff as the
Charlotte organizer for the Building Environmental
Communities program, and looks forward to building
on the good work previously done by Christa Wagner,
who has taken a position with the North Carolina
Sierra Club chapter as lobbyist. Our office contact
