In just under three weeks Bill McKibben and 350.org are coming to Durham, one of the stops on their 20-city Do the Math tour. We’ve learned that Sierra Club Executive Director Mike Brune will be joining him. Mike joined Bill and others onstage before the estimated 12,000 people that surrounded the White House and called on President Obama to stop the Keystone XL Pipeline.
Here’s the key event information
November 19th, 7:00 PM
Duke University Page Auditorium
Tickets cost $5, plus, a $6 box office charge.
Some people are buying groups of tickets so they only have to pay the $6 once for multiple tickets.
Visit math.350.org. Click Durham on the map and the link will take you to the page to register and purchase tickets.
The tour will build on Bill McKibbben’s powerful article in Rolling Stone that is igniting a campaign to force the fossil fuel industry to change. It’s a landmark, must read piece so please take a look.
The music on the tour will be unique with DJ Spooky performing with video and a string ensemble, sharing his experiences of Antarctica.
