Finding solutions to Charlotte Mecklenburg transportation issues is critical to clean up our air. This would be a great opportunity for someone with a Transportation Hot Button!

Complete Streets and Transportation Choices Training
How to Get the Walking, Biking and Transit Options Your Community Deserves!
Sierra Club’s first national Complete Streets training in Minneapolis.
Application Deadline: 12:00 p.m. ET on Thursday, September 27, 2012
When: December 7-9, 2012
Where: Minneapolis, Minnesota
Applicants will be notified whether they are accepted to attend by October 1, 2012.
What’s a complete street? In short, it’s a street built for everyone — transit riders, bicyclists, and people on foot — as well as cars. Complete streets give people options to get around without oil and increase safety for everyone, and they’re a key part of building local transportation solutions that will move us Beyond Oil.
At this training, from December 7-9th, Sierra Club volunteers will come together to learn how to build a robust, volunteer-driven campaign to bring complete streets to their community, and how complete streets fit within a broader strategy to shift our transportation system away from oil.
We’re looking for volunteers and activists– especially those who are moving up the “leadership ladder”– who are excited to build a campaign to bring transportation solutions to their community.
Thanks for all you do,
Rachel Butler
