In March, the EPA proposed limits on carbon dioxide (CO2) from new fossil-fueled power plants and is in the process of collecting comments from the public. Unfortunately, public hearings were only scheduled in two locations in the country, and neither are in the Southeast. Clean Air Carolina, National Council of Churches and Southern Alliance for Clean Energy have joined with other organizations to host a Citizen’s Hearing in Charlotte, NC on Monday, June 11th to give North Carolinians and other Southeastern residents the opportunity to speak to the EPA in support of carbon limits on new power plants.
